Curated by Huang Sun-Quan at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts (Gallery 403 & Multi-Purpose Room). The Lulu Shur-tzy Hou solo exhibition presents her long-running Songs of Asian Brides (2005–2009) — paired image-and-text portraits of seven Taiwanese-Vietnamese marriage families, foregrounding the conditions of marriage migrants in Taiwan.
The exhibition opened on 3 July 2010 with a creative forum chaired by Huang, bringing artists, sociologists, and migrant-bride service workers into a conversation that examined the political stakes of the very category 'Asian bride' across gender, labour, transnational capital, and art-as-intervention. 侯淑姿持續多年的長期計畫,記錄台越婚姻中數個家族的女性處境,以「雙眸」結構(圖像與文字並列)呈現移民女性的個體經驗與集體命運。
